These modules operate over a wide range of input voltage (V = 3Vdc - 14.4Vdc) and provide a precisely regulated output IN voltage from 0.6Vdc to 5.5Vdc, programmable via an external resistor. Features include remote On/Off, adjustable output voltage, TM over current and over temperature protection in the controller. The module also includes the Tunable Loop feature that allows the user to optimize the dynamic response of the converter to match the load with reduced amount of output capacitance leading to savings on cost and PWB area. * UL is a registered trademark of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. † CSA is a registered trademark of Canadian Standards Association. ‡ VDE is a trademark of Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker e.V. ** ISO is a registered trademark of the International Organization of Standards # The PMBus name and logo are registered trademarks of the System Management Interface Forum (SMIF) June 24, 2014 ©2014 General Electric Corporation. A highly 4x47uF Ext Cap inductive source can affect the stability of the module. An 40 input capacitance must be placed directly adjacent to the input pin of the module, to minimize input ripple voltage and ensure module stability. 30 To minimize input voltage ripple, ceramic capacitors are recommended at the input of the module. Figure 37 shows 20 the input ripple voltage for various output voltages at 6A of load current with 1x22 µF or 2x22 µF ceramic 10 capacitors and an input of 12V. 600 0 1x22uF 0.5 1 1.5 2 2.5 3 3.5 4 4.5 5 500 2x22 uF Output Voltage (Volts) 400 Figure 38. Bandwidth at 20MHz Output Filtering For the converter output to be considered meeting the requirements of safety extra-low voltage (SELV), the input These modules are designed for low output ripple voltage must meet SELV requirements. The power module has and will meet the maximum output ripple specification with extra-low voltage (ELV) outputs when all inputs are ELV. suggested 2x0.047µF+1x1uF ceramic decoupling capacitors The input to these units is to be provided with with a fast and 1x47 µF ceramic capacitors at the output of the module. acting fuse (e.g. ABC Bussmann) with a maximum rating of However, additional output filtering may be required by the 20 A in the positive input lead. system designer for a number of reasons. First, there may be a need to further reduce the output ripple and noise of the module. Second, the dynamic response characteristics may need to be customized to a particular load step change. To reduce the output ripple and improve the dynamic response to a step load change, additional capacitance at the output can be used. Low ESR polymer and ceramic capacitors are recommended to improve the dynamic response of the module. Figure 38 provides output ripple information, measured with a scope with its Bandwidth limited to 20MHz for different external capacitance values at various Vo and a full load current of 6A. For stable operation of the module, limit the capacitance to less than the maximum output capacitance as specified in the electrical specification table. Optimal performance of the module can TM be achieved by using the Tunable Loop feature described later in this data sheet. June 24, 2014 ©2014 General Electric Corporation. All rights reserved. Frequently asked questions

How does Electronics Finder differ from its competitors?

chervon down
Electronics Finder' parent company, GID Industrial, specializes in procuring industrial parts. We know where to find the rare and obsolete equipment that our customers need in order to get back to business. We stand apart from our competition through our commitment to quality, and look forward to the opportunity to show you how.

Is there a warranty for the ULVT006A0X3-SRZ?

chervon down
The warranty we offer will be based on what we negotiate with our suppliers. Sometimes, a part will be sold as-is and without a warranty. We usually offer a one-year warranty for single board computers in particular because they are our specialty.

Which carrier will Electronics Finder use to ship my parts?

chervon down
We use FedEx, UPS, DHL, and USPS. We have accounts with each of them and generally ship using one of those, but we can also ship using your account if you would prefer. We are able to ship with other carriers if you would find it more convenient.

Can I buy parts from Electronics Finder if I am outside the USA?

chervon down
Electronics Finder will definitely serve you. We work with international clients all the time, which means we are regularly shipping goods all across the globe.

Which payment methods does Electronics Finder accept?

chervon down
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are all accepted by Electronics Finder. We will also accept payment made with wire transfer or PayPal. Checks will only be accepted from customers in the USA. Terms may be offered (upon approval) for larger orders.
