Introducing SOLARLOK 5-String Combiner Box The SOLARLOK combiner box assembly is used to combine up to five strings in a preterminated connectorized weather-resistant enclosure to meet National Electric Code (NEC) requirements for series fusing of photovoltaic (PV) modules (solar panels). The combiner box assembly consists of a box, cover (with hinges), transparent dead front lid (under the cover), and 10 pre-terminated SOLARLOK connectors each with a removable dust cover. The box features 4 knockouts (for output wiring), lock tab, mounting slots and pre-wired grounding bolt. The interior of the box has 5 fuse holder blocks pre-wired to the positive SOLARLOK connectors, 5 terminal blocks pre-wired to the negative SOLARLOK connectors, and an equipment terminal block used to ground the equipment. Fuses are not included. SOLARLOK 5-String APPLICATIONS Combiner Box The combiner box can be used with up to 5 strings from the solar array. MECHANICAL The combiner box is IP65/NEMA 3 rated for environmental protection. A tool is required to open the lid meeting NEC code requirements.
